Abbaye des Rocs is a Strong Belgian Ale made with pure malt, with no added sugar. The entire range of tastes is directly linked to the double fermentation, the precise quantities of malts (7 types) as well as the mixtures of three kinds of hops (Belgian, German and Czech). The Abbaye des Rocs Brewery has its roots in a little picturesque village Montignies-sur-Roc, Belgium. All the beers are made with water from a well in the rocky subsoil, with malt, hops and spices. They are natural without added sugars and guaranteed to be without chemical additives. It is a deep, mystic and extremely mature beer to be classed among the great products of the region.
Hazy red-brown with gorgeous light beige fluffy head - nice lacing as well. Huge fruit (apples oranges) sherbert, doughy malt, spices, asprin and a faint hint of warm rubber tennis shoe aromas. Smooth somewhat slippery mouth feel. Solid cured meat yeasty start. Well balanced bitter- malty sweet middle masking the alcohol well, and a mild sweet dry finish.
