A dark Belgian style strong Ale brewed for the Christmas season by Abbaye des Rocs. The Abbaye des Rocs Brewery has its roots in a little picturesque village Montignies-sur-Roc, Belgium. All the beers are made with water from a well in the rocky subsoil, with malt, hops and spices. They are natural without added sugars and guaranteed to be without chemical additives. There range of beers are deep, mystic and extremely mature beers to be classed among the great products of the region.
A dark mahogany colour with a nice tan-coloured head. Cloudy with a lively carbonation at first . Aromas of raisin and plum almost a maple syruplike. Spices are obvious, especially coriander and clove. Faint chocolate flavour, raisins and dates, molasses, brown sugar, mild hops and an earthy finish. Very delicious.
